Que conste que no me voy a casar ni lo pretendo. Es más, me siento alérgico al compromiso (que no a las vaginas, como Robert Pattinson va diciendo por ahí). Pero tengo 27 años y hace ya algunos meses que viví mi primera boda. Ahora, el efecto novia se multiplica: he entrado a trabajar en Bodaclick. Aquí estoy rodeado de personas que piensan, comen y respiran con una sola idea en la cabeza: la novia. ¡La novia! El término me evoca un muñeco. Con velo. Blanco. El velo, digo. El muñeco es más bien color carne, como suelen ser los muñecos.
Total, que últimamente hay un revuelo acerca del vestido de novia. Parece que entramos en fase final – the final phase para su elección. Y, me ha dado por discurrir acerca de la elección del vestido desde el punto de vista masculino.
Yo no sé si el veneno del amor inundará los sentidos y el blanco radiante se asociará a la llegada del Mesías desde el altar, pero, hasta entonces, el vestido de novia es una de las cosas menos sexy. En serio, es in-atractivo (sí, me acabo de inventar la palabra). En general los vestidos le dan un aspecto elegante a la mujer; pero no nos engañemos, la elegancia nos las pasamos por delante y por detrás. Tris, tras.
A nosotros nos gusta la provocación, la sugerencia, la invitación y el envite. Y el vestido de novia carece de todas esas cualidades. En todo caso se acerca más a la castidad, no en vano el blanco es el color de la pureza y la inocencia. Um, por ahí puede tener cierto morbo.
Quizá alguien tenga una respuesta desde la gilipollez en la que se instala el enamorado. En ese caso, no duden en comentar. Se aprecia la polémica.
What Is Drunk In Charge

For example if someone was attempting to remove a parking clamp then this wouldn’t count as drunk in charge as there is clearly no intention or way they could drive. An example of when someone would be seen to be drunk in charge would be if a mother was supervising her son who was driving on a provisional license, when she was over the drinking limit, as she may need to take the wheel if he became unable to drive.
The penalties for conviction of drunk in charge are a maximum fine of 2500, a maximum 3 month prison sentence and a maximum of 10 penalty points, and as a defendant you must prove that you were unlikely to drive rather than the prosecutor proving you were likely to drive.
A wide range of evidence can prove this, including medical evidence to show how soon the defendant would come back within the legal limit, a hotel booking or a receipt for overnight parking.

Resveratrol Weight Control

New BT Diverse Phones
Well is that time again and it looks like BT are ready to drop the long running BT Diverse 6000 series of cordless phones for the 7000 series. We have seen a quick glimpse of one of the new BT Diverse 7000 series handsets and it does look similar to the current BT Hub handsets.
At the moment we haven’t got the full specifications or pricing yet but what we do know is the names of the phones. Going of past experience when these BT Diverse phones have changed in the past the new models are very similar to the old ones. They just tend to be a change of shape and a few tweaks with the specification.
However once these phones are released if we have got some of this slightly wrong don’t hold it against us!! So here is how we think the different BT phones will be:
BT Diverse 7110 Cordless Phone
This model looks to be the starting model in this range and replacement for the current 6110 model phone. However there doesn’t seem to be a BT Diverse 7210 being released this year so we think the spec on this will be better.
The BT Diverse 7150 Cordless Phone is the Replacement for the BT Diverse 6150 and probably the same as the above spec wise, though the Diverse 7150 including and answering machine.
BT Diverse 7410 Cordless Phone
We think that all the BT Diverse handsets with the 74 at the beginning of the name will be the top of the range models. Similar to how the BT Diverse 6410 was the top spec we expect the 7410 to be as well.
BT Diverse 7450 Cordless Phone
Just as the BT Diverse 6450 was, we expect the BT Diverse 7450 to be the same as the above but with an answering machine.
The BT Diverse 7460 Cordless Phone The 7460 is one that is a bit of a mystery at the moment as there never was a BT Diverse 6460 model. However there was the corded and cordless 6350 so we have a sneaky feeling the Diverse 7460 will be in this mould.
All of these phones will probably have the ability to add extra handsets and it will be from the following models.
Creating the right impression
Have you ever applied for a job believing that you’re perfect for the advertised role? We’ve probably all submitted our CV and then felt pretty confident once we were selected for interview.

Save Money – Buy a Used Mac
Like many products, an Apple Mac computer can be bought for a heavily reduced price second hand. While I would not dream of buying a PC or windows laptops second hand, I would not hesitate to purchase a used Mac.
Why? Well firstly I trust the build quality of Apple products – they are built to last. Mac and MacBook computers usually outlast their usefulness and are still going when it’s time to upgrade to a newer model. Compare this to your average PC. Many are so full of dust and buzzing components that they are just ready for the bin within a few years of purchase.
Another consideration is the reliability of the Apple operating system and other software. A second hand PC will probably need a comprehensive clean up as it will have accumulated no end of spyware and junk over its lifetime. The Mac doesn’t generally suffer from this problem and it will be highly unlikely you’ll need to do a full format and reinstall of the operating system when you buy. Simply delete the stuff you don’t want, defrag the disk and away you go.
The final major reason I’d buy a second hand Mac is the price. Apple Mac computers are very expensive. You do get what you pay for, but sometimes they are just too pricey to justify buying brand new. Rather like a brand new car that is driven off the forecourt, a nearly new Mac will instantly lose enough value to make it affordable. However after this initial loss it will keep its value nicely for a few years. You may even be able to sell it on third hand!

Ways of cutting your energy bills
1. Get an OWL – it’s an energy monitor that shows you exactly what you’re using right now. So it shows when you switch something on how much it uses. You will go round your house switching things off when you’ve got an OWL electricity monitor!
2. Change all the light bulbs to low energy ones. There’s no reason for having old fashioned light bulbs anymore. They give out massive amounts of heat energy which was demonstrated on a recent TV program where they built an oven using a 60w light bulb and cooked a chicken in an hour and half.
3. Don’t leave things on standby. Some things like computers can use tons of electricity whilst sat there waiting for you. If you’re not using it, switch it off.
4. Get a TV switcher which switches all the digiboxes off when you turn the TV off. Every little helps!
5. Turn your heating down a tiny bit.
6. Shower, don’t bath. It’s quicker and uses less energy and water.
7. Unplug electrical devices you don’t use anymore. The TV in the spare room doesn’t need to be plugged in, those LED standby lights are all wasting energy.
8. Only put the amount of water you want to use in the kettle. Boiling water takes a lot of energy so don’t waste it by boiling a kettle full when you only need a cup full.
9. Only put the washing machine on when it’s got a full load.
10. Put the dishwasher on when it’s full so that you get maximum use out of it.
11. Turn off lights when you leave the room.
12. Shut the curtains as the sun goes down. This helps keep heat in the room.
13. Get draft proofing around doors.
14. Get your home insulated. Loft and cavity wall insulation can be got cheaply via government schemes.
15. You should defrost your fridge and freezer. If they need doing often though you might need to check the seal is ok or replace them.
16. Buy energy efficient appliances. Look for the rating and aim to get A or A+ devices.
17. Dry washing outside on a line rather than use a tumble dryer. It does take more time and effort but it will save you money!
18. If you must use a tumble dryer then invest in a spinner which will spin your clothes much dryer than your washer gets. It will cut down on the time you need to tumble your clothes.
19. If you want lights in the garden then get solar ones.
20. When cooking use an appropriate size pan and ring.
